The lint screen catches what you can see. The fine lint goes past it on every load and packs itself around the blower wheel, the drum rollers, the idler pulley and the heating element — and it never comes out on its own. We take the machine apart, clear all of it, clean and check every moving part, and brush the vent from the dryer to the exterior cap.

The U.S. Fire Administration counts roughly 2,900 clothes dryer fires a year in residential buildings, about $35 million in property loss, and names failure to clean the dryer as the leading cause at 34%. A restricted duct is what lets heat build up around the most combustible thing in the house.

Drum rollers and the idler pulley run on small sealed bearings. Lint wraps the shafts and traps the heat that should be leaving through the vent — and that heat cooks the grease out of the bearing. Lint packs in, temperature climbs, grease dries, and you get a squeak, then a rhythmic thump, then a flat-spotted or seized roller: a shredded belt, a scored drum and a repair several times the price of a cleaning.
Any two of these together usually mean the duct is restricted and the machine is running hot. That's the point where a $119 cleaning is still far cheaper than what comes next.
$119 right now, down from our regular $219. That covers the full service: teardown, internal lint removal, every moving part cleaned and checked, and the whole vent run brushed to the exterior cap. Replacement parts, if anything turns out to be worn, are quoted separately and approved by you first.
It includes vent cleaning, but it's more than that. A vent cleaning clears the duct. A deep clean opens the machine as well — the blower housing, the lint chute, the heater box, the rollers and the cabinet floor — which is where most of the lint actually lives.
Usually 60 to 90 minutes for a standard setup. Long duct runs, roof-terminated vents and stacked units take longer, and we tell you before we start.
About once a year for a normal household. Sooner if you dry several loads a day, have pets, or the duct run is long or has several elbows.
Both. Lint traps the heat that should be leaving through the vent, and that heat cooks the grease out of the drum roller and idler bearings. That's where squeaks, thumps and seized rollers come from — and a seized roller shreds belts and scores drums. The fire risk is real too: the U.S. Fire Administration counts about 2,900 dryer fires a year in residential buildings, with failure to clean the leading cause at 34%.
Yes, gas and electric, all major brands.
$119 right now, down from $219. 7 days a week, 8AM–8PM, 2-hour arrival windows, Hudson to St. Petersburg.
If it won't heat, won't tumble or won't start, that's a repair, not a cleaning — and the $89 service call is waived when you approve the work.
